The initiative was implemented by the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of Chery Kazakhstan, the official distributor of the brand in Kazakhstan and part of Astana Motors.
As part of the event, the Nurlan Smagulov Foundation also presented the young athletes with certificates for the purchase of school uniforms. Supporting the children ahead of the new school year became an important part of the broader initiative aimed at creating conditions for their development both in sport and in everyday life.
The presentation of new sports equipment marked another step in the development of youth para ice hockey. Specialized sledges are essential for a full training process and help create better conditions for regular practice. The foundation for the future national team is formed at the youth level, making the systematic development of young para ice hockey players an important part of the sport's long-term growth in Kazakhstan.
The National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Kazakhstan Para Ice Hockey Federation, continues to develop the sport across the country. In recent years, Kazakhstan has hosted two World Para Ice Hockey Championships, while competitive opportunities continue to expand and a foundation is being established for the further development of the sport.
Kairat Boranbayev, President of the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, notes that creating the necessary conditions for young athletes at the early stages of their development contributes to building a future talent pool and strengthening the national team.
The event brought together athletes, coaches, parents, representatives of sports organizations and partners. Following the official ceremony, the programme continued on the ice with sports relays and team activities for the young para ice hockey players.
