Kairat Boranbayev, President of the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has been appointed as a member of the Executive Board of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA).

The decision was made by the IBSA Executive Board on 3 August 2026 in accordance with Article 6.13 of the organization’s Constitution.



IBSA is an international sports federation that develops sport for athletes with visual impairments and brings together national organizations from more than 100 countries worldwide.

The appointment of a representative of Kazakhstan to the IBSA Executive Board opens new opportunities to strengthen international cooperation, advance initiatives in sport for athletes with visual impairments, and expand Kazakhstan’s participation in the development of the global Paralympic Movement.
